On Oct. 23, 1993, Hall of Famer Joe
Carter's home run crushes Phillies in 1993 World Series.
The
Philadelphia Phillies were
picked to finish last by most experts.
However, they reached the World Series
and faced the defending champion Toronto Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays
ended the Phillies dreams of a World Series championship in 1993.
Trailing 6-5
in the bottom of the ninth in Game 6, Toronto's Joe Carter hit a three-run shot
to give the Blue Jays their second title in a row. Carter was given the World
